Started in 2010, the Gransden Muddy Fun Run was originally called the ‘Grandsen Off-Road Marathon (GORM)’. Since its inception, the purpose has been to raise money for Barnabas Oley School in Great Gransden. Over the years it has contributed many thousand pounds to the school which has funded purchase of IT equipment , swimming pool renovation, playground activity equipment and donations to the library.

There are three different length runs to choose from – from the child friendly to the masochistic. you choose how muddy you get!

There are different entry fees for the races:

  • Half marathon – £26
  • 10k – £16
  • Fun run – £5

Places for the half and 10k are limited – please book early to avoid disappointment!

We have made a small increase to our race prices this year, to cover the extra cost of using pre-chipped numbers – these allow the distribution of race numbers more Covid secure.

We are happy to receive sponsorship too. All profits go to buy equipment for our village school.

Glowing with pride (or is it the cold) at the end of the run, everyone is greeted with a fantastic choice of cake & other beverages. Children will receive a race memento (we will try to provide for all finishers that want one!)
Please remember that children (under 13 for half-marathon / 10k, under 8 for fun runners) must be accompanied by at least one adult – please make sure this is reflected in the entries you submit, as we can’t let unsupervised children run on their own – we know you will understand, thanks.
